University of the Philippines · Bachelor of Music
Jean graduated from the University of the Philippines with a Bachelor of Music, majoring in piano performance. Her additional study in voice, conducting, and traditional Philippine gong-chime music gives her a wider musical vocabulary: melody and breath, ensemble awareness, rhythmic life, and the discipline of listening closely.
Across more than two decades of private teaching—including work in the United States since 2007—Jean has shaped lessons around the person at the piano. She has also organized student recitals that turn preparation into a real, meaningful performance experience.
University-level performance training brings technique, interpretation, and close listening into every lesson.
Long private-teaching experience helps Jean recognize different starting points, ambitions, and learning rhythms.
Her work as an Occupational Therapist adds a practical understanding of development, behavior, and individual needs.
Her evaluator experience and recital leadership connect careful preparation with accountable, confident performance.
Jean’s teaching lens
Technique deserves rigor. The person deserves attention.
Jean’s musical and therapeutic backgrounds meet in one essential practice: careful observation. She listens for the sound a student is making, but also notices how that student approaches challenge, responds to guidance, and discovers confidence.
That is why the studio can welcome a young beginner, an experienced student, or an adult returning to music without forcing each person through the same path. The standard remains high; the way toward it becomes personal.
Individual pace · Purposeful practice · Expressive confidenceThe recital record
These are not stock images or a promise of perfection. They are real moments from Jean’s public recital collection: preparation, presence, and the pride of sharing work that has been earned.

Proof, not promises
A recital is not a comparison. It is a real moment of preparation, focus, courage, and shared achievement. Jean’s students learn to meet the stage with care—and to recognize the growth they have earned.
